Rabbit was an old highschool/college nickname and the "9" is for the caliber of my "pimp gun"(I take an immense ammount of shit from the local shooters for not shooting a major cal.- my position is that if you shoot them between the eyes, it doesn't matter)[kill]

(been letting my hair grow long and when its not back in a pony tail, it gets pretty crazy looking)

And of course, I watched a lot of Scooby-Doo as a kid...

I'm always dogging all the retro stuff coming back from the 60s, all that flower child crap and sideburns and bellbottoms and such. Hence, Retrodog.

Or, I like old stuff like cars and guns and such, and I, like ever other guy, am a dog. Hence, Retrodog.

Or, I look like an old dog. Hence, Retrodog.

Or, I'm an oldfashioned dog. Hence, Retrodog.

Man, I don't even remember. I've had the handel for so long that I just couldn't tell you.

Oh well, who cares...

A really bad blizzard is known in that area as a Bearlaker.

Mine started out as a retort to those who make fun of me for all of the stuff I carry.  I got this mythical reputation of having everything with me at all times.  Leatherman, knives,  first aid, binoculars, flashlights (usually 3 or 4- photon and surefire on me and usually some other small lights randomly in my pack, paracord, cell phone, GPS(little etrex vista with great USA map plus downloaded detailed topo of 10,000 square miles near me) duct tape, emergency kit, contractor bags,  rain jacket and a poncho, etc, etc, etc,... Well, after taking quite a ribbing one evening, I short temperedly responded that the world is divided into two groups: those that rely on the kindness of strangers (sheeple) and.....  I explained that I carry a light wind breaker and a poncho (a particular "they" focused on) because the poncho is what I use when I lend the jacket to some unprepared schmuck (my wife wasn't laughing!).

In high school, shortly after getting a car I started to go to the high school parking lot at night and practiced “unsafe” driving techniques, then I has some magnetic door signs made for the car, they said ‘Student Stunt Driver’, SSD was born.

I love the SSR.  Read them all.  Anyway, I was actually thinking of starting this thread when EricThe(IHaveAnIdentityCrisis)Hun thought about changing his name.  Well, I ride a 1991 Harley Low Rider.  On my way to work one morning, I was stopped on a side street ready to get onto a major boulevard.  This hooker walked up behind me and said, "Wanna f*ck Mister Motorcycle Man?"  I laughed so hard I almost fell over.  When I said no, she said, "Well bye Mister Motorcycle Man.  See you 'round."  My wife and I had a good laugh when I told her.  So now I am MC_Man.

Well, when I decided to build my AR, I hadn't handled one since the Corps...and in my job (Computer Repair) I'm "The Expert" people ask for help...cause everyone who has a computer problem claims to be "computer illiterate".

(pet peeve alert: if you've had a computer for more than 6 months, YOU CAN'T SAY THAT! It's like having a car for 5 years and just saying "I only drive it, I don't know ANYTHING")

Back to point, when I found this site and started reading it, I realized there were alot of "Experts" here...both real and otherwise. Now I do know alot about ARs, and am always learning more.... but I still am....

"No_Expert"

Mine's an occupational nickname.  I work in industrial automation and controls.  Where I'm from, electricians are called "sparkies", instrument techs are sometimes called "hairdressers" (Heat guns for shrink tubing resemble hair driers I guess.  It's reaching pretty far, but I didn't make it up), mechanics are "knuckle-draggers", and I'm the "control freak".  It even carries a double meaning because quite a few control guys (mostly the senior ones)are pretty particular about their systems and programming.

ZOMBEE:  (Three Reasons)

1.  I was "killed" by killer bees once in Panama.  (Was taking my squad through a jungle land-nav course and we got hit.)  Flatlined in the hospital briefly.  Woke up with a fat Panamanian nurse (w/ mustache) sticking me with a shot of adrenaline.  Back from the dead / bees =  zom - bee

2.  Looked like a zombie every time we came back from the bush.  Clothes rotting off bodies, greyish/pale skin, swollen red eyes from lack of sleep and fumes from bug juice, ect

3.  Favorite band:  White Zombie

cc48510 was the username UCF assigned me for the Pegasus Server. When I was there I rarely used [email protected] since it was hard for most to remember so I got a hotmail account [email protected]. Then, I began suing it for everything. Other names I have used elsewhere are:

a044633t: Assigned by my first ISP in 1993.

PantherCCG: Panther Card and Computer Games. It was my .com company back in 1994 - 1996. I never turned a profit, so I just abandoned the name.

Falda7: Falda = Spanish Word For Skirt. 7 is a lucky number. You figure it out.

RunFGX = FGX Is the file format for Formula Graphics, an early Shareware version of Powerpoint. FGX was better in 1994 than Powerpoint is now. Only problem is Compatibility.

Car97Rifle: You Figure it out. CAR-97.

M249SAW: Again, you figure it out. M-249 SAW.

noreno2002: Say No To Janet Reno In 2002.

Well I used to shoot a lot of precision rifle.  It was a lot of fun, the only problem is I get lazy after a few hours.  I get tired of anally cleaning my bore ever 3-5 rounds.  With a new gun I clean every round for about 200 rounds.

Because of the cleaning, and allowing the barrel temp to restabilize, it was taking me about 7 mins to set up for each shot, on average.

I said screw that and started shooting semi autos and pistol.  One hell of a lot more fun!!  Still can't turn loose of my roots though.
