They should charge whatever the market will bear, PERIOD.  Making a profit is not gouging, even during an emergency.  Raising prices is a reaction to heavy demand chasing a limited supply.  It sucks if you aren't prepared.  To think otherwise is a sign that your brain has been invaded by the social engineers.  If you feel like only charging $18.50 when everyone else is charging $100 (or whatever) that's your business.  Actually, that's your business going down the drain...  

Honestly, why buy a gas mask at all?  And how many could they possibly be moving at that price?

I guess it depends on which filter they come with. The cheapo tear gas version or a real NBC. I also paid 9 bucks for my brand new Iraeli masks about 4 months before 9-11. The M-95 NBC filters that I bought for them were like $25.00 a piece.

You think that's alot?  Check out the prices on ebay, I saw one close for over $250.
