I've given money through other organizations and I haven't heard of one instance of any victims survivors directly receiving any assistance or compensation. What do you suppose is happening to the hundreds of millions of dollars that are being raised?

Sukebe, and this has what to do with this board and it's members? We aren't remotely like the government or any other charity organization. These rifles will go directly to our guys, not as a charity, but as our way of thanking them for being there when NYC and the country needed them. FWIW- I'm curious where that money goes too, but in this case I know exactly where it's going.

I originally donated $25 but I really think that we need to see this thing through. It is the least we can do and we all made such a public deal over it. I would hate to see AR-15.com end up like the Red Cross with $500M raised and not one penny given to the victim families yet.
I told Tim the other nite in the chatroom that I would match the next $200 coming in from that date (10/27). I posted something to that effect in the Hero Fund forum that evening. Here's another reminder...if you don't already have a PayPal account, you can send $5 without it costing you a cent! We made a little progress today. Unofficial update of approximately $170 raised today. With BenDover's generous offer to match the first $200, that makes it $340 for the day. We still aren't quite there yet. Keep those PayPals coming in. We need to reach our goal and show the New York crew how much we appreciate them. AntiUSSA will post an official update in the morning. I have already donated $200.00 but I'll be willing to do a match.
Anyone that will donate any amount over $200.00, I'll match the amount over $200.00. In other words, If someone donates $250.00, I'll donate another $50. Stipulations are: 1) My match will not exceed the required amount to make the purchases. If someone donates $300.00, and only $75.00 is needed after that, I only donate $75...sorry. Best to do some math if you take me up on this. 2) antiUSSA must have the cash on hand (confirmation from pay-pal or clearance of check) before I make the match. ...any takers? |
