Manatee Gun Club
1805 Logue Rd. Myakka City, Fla. 34251 (941) 322-0055 Myakka City, Fla. The Manatee Gun Club has a 550yd. rifle range with 26 covered positions, an air conditioned club house and bathrooms. Membership is $100 per year with a $50 initiation fee for new members. Daily range fees are $15 per day non-members and $2 per day members. |

Manatee is a beautiful range, but it is out quite a ways. For a good 100 yard range a little closer to home, check out the Dade City Rod & Gun Club, HWY 52 about 7.5 miles east of Interstate 75. Open every day but Thursday, 9-4. $10 for non-member adults, $3 for supervised kids. Single or family memberships $75 a year, $50 initation fee. No shooting fee for members, except match fees.

Ill be in FL this week end. A good friend had a bad boat racing accident a few weeks ago and Ill be flying into St. Pete to see him. His arm was severed by a prop and reattached. He is lucky it didn't hit his head. I also have family up towards the New Port Ritchey area, so maybe I could make it to that range on 54. Does anybody know about Serbu's place? Does he have a store front shop or is it just a manufacturing machine shop? I would love to see some 50s being made.

Across the bridge in Pinellas county is the Wyoming Antelope Club, they have up to a 100 yd range but it's single shot only unless you've completed the CMP.
Take your own ammo because they don't sell any there. Call them at 727.573.3006 |

Come see me,I'll take you out to a 100 yard range(I know it's not great, but....)
Now I am told there is a 1,000 + range south of town(Tampa) about 45mins south by I75,but I'll be damned if I can find it. PS:are you at McDill? do they have any good deals at the PX right now old buddy[:)] |

Funny thing about that range on Fowler (by Big Top) is that it is a trailer. Like, half a mobile-home type of trailer.

Dude I was at a gun show and there was a guy handing out info on the range,at the time it was 300 yards but he said it would be 1,000 by the end of the month. You say it's in Manatee? Maybe you and I are talking about the same rangeand I just don't know it. |

There is also the indoor St. Petersburg Police Range on 16th St in St. Pete. It was about $6 to $10 a day to shoot, but it has been a few years since I've been there. It was nice range, though. A police friend of mine says that she shoots right on MacDill AFB, but I'm not sure where. I'm waiting for her to take me so I'll find out.

I go to the Hernando Sportsmen Club. It is off of US 19 just North of Wickie Watchie. Sorry I dont have an address or phone #.
It is awsome, they have 100yd and 220yd ranges. Hopefully someone has a # for ya. |
