What happened is the Mods and Staff finally got tired of babysitting the thread. I can only speak for myself but I have gone through it everyday I'm online and had to change at least one pic into a link. It was fun while it lasted but apparently some people have a problem following the simple conduct rules as set down by the owner of this site.

Well thats too bad, I liked it and know that mostly GUYs are into weapons and for the most part guys have a love for looking at beautiful women. It`s a natural. just like having pretty women give the awards for racing, just like Harleys and girls are a natural, etc.......

I'm not sure why it got locked considering Goatboy's comments on the second to last page of The Babe Of The Day thread(33).

for me it's not about the women themselves but more for getting to know what the other members are interested in. I think you can get to know a lot about people by what attributes they find attractive. Did a lot of post go over the line sure? But I also think we saw a lot of self censure. -CK |

The recent spamming of disgusting pics was discussed in great length by GoatBoy and 2 other staff members last night via a phone call. All I will say right now is some changes will be coming to prevent this type of thing from happening again and things are going to be tightened up in regards to posting of naked women,porn and links to same. As for this thread. It is solving nothing and is done.

A particular post on the last page is a very clearcut VIOLATION of the rules of the thread! We are constantly having to "police" the thread, and furthermore, Goatboys warning just the day before WAS NOT respected. |

Ok I've been busy working and NEED to focus on that for a few more days, so I can't be here policing things all the time...
I updated the CONDUCT CODE the other day to help better define things that should and shouldn't be posted. Starting fights like you did in this thread CCK and responding as you did BUD are examples of pointless bickering and bullshit we need to avoid. EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO THEIR OPINION. As to that post itself... you guys were given the chance to keep it running, I posted SEVERAL times about keeping it clean and helping notify each other if posts were over the edge... I did this a few times. There's no need to have people moderate a SPECIFIC post every damn day. It's a waste of everyone's time... So when the final posts hit, the thread was locked... case and point round one is done with. As for [b]MY[/b] stance on the posting of this stuff... NO PORN should be posted and I will update the code to reflect this. It's just too much to ask that people use their judgement. You want to post pics of babes with guns, then make sure they ARE WEARING CLOTHES (non-see through). Like I said, "If something's peekin..." The rule will most likely be updated to no links to ANY type of porn for the time being. We'll be addressing a few issues with spammers as well as how best to "split" the GD. If crap like this continues to be posted, then we'll simple lock down the GD to members only... and nobody wants that do they? I will merely ask that everyone let things calm down for a few days while we decide on how best to solve a few issues. |
