Nothing says "pick a different house to rob buddy" like eight SAM's in the front yard.  I'll take two.

Yeah, but what are you going to do, try to bayonet a plane when you miss with all 8 rockets?

Anybody else notice that he's got his head right in front of the radar emitter!?  His brains are probably cooked, that's why he's pointing his weapon at the cameraman.

I thought radar was harmless to humans?  Anyone else know anything about this?  From what I understand no radiation is emitted from radar....am I wrong...anyone?  (not trying to start a flame...just wondering..thanks)

Yes ionizing radiation IS emitted from a radar unit . If your lucky it'll fry the nerves in whatever appendage you put in front of the emitter (seen it happen once to a guy at Ft Gordon )

You must be too young to remember when one of the first microwave ovens was called a "radar range". [;)]

Aboard US Navy ships, there's a yellow line painted around each of the "R2D2" Phalanx weapons mounts.  A warning sign says something to the effect of "If you're inside this line when the radar is active, you'll be cooked".

I've got one of those mounted on my Jesse Jackson bobble-head in the back window shelf of my car...

In case anyone's interested I believe we're looking at a Shorts Towed Rapier SHORADS (Short Range Air Defense System).  Used mainly by the Brits although the USAF had a few for airfield defense in Europe for a while.
