I saw a couple of posts here, and recall seeing several people say "I used to have", etc.

I think (near as I can remember) I have previously owned about 36 (and I might have forgotten some) over my 15 years of gun ownership.  Some were traded away for something else.  Some sold because I needed money at the time (and some sold because I changed the course of my collection and wanted to buy something else).  I even gave a few away (to my Brothers).

I used to own (in that total) 3 Post ban AR's, one pre-ban AR.

Which ones do I miss?  The HK 91 (the FNC I got for it in trade I like better, though), the Beretta Model 84 (I got a replacement), and a few other misc. guns.

I have never gotten rid of a gun.  Keep thinking about it but I guess I'm kind of a pack rat.

have gotten rid of a raven .25 because I got a baby browning and didnt see the need to keep both.  Also sold a Winchester 94, and have kicked myself ever since....decided right then it didnt cost me anything to keep them

Mini-14 Ranch Rifle.  Gave it away to a close friend.   Am now trying to convice said friend to sell it and get a better rifle....SAR-2.

It would seem as though my mom has decided to adopt my 10/22 with 4X scope on it.

Ditto that, If I was forced to pick a number I'd say about 75 have come and gone. I did keep my first gun, 'cause everyone needs a Ruger 10/22.

Twice I traded in guns at a dealer toward others. Both times I was sorry afterward. I don't part with them anymore, unless you count those I have given to my son. He doesn't get rid of any either.

I have never sold a gun.  However, my father bought me an old .410 shotgun when I was in elementry school, but my mother sold it after he died to make ends meet.  She also sold his lever action 30/30, his 12 and 20 pump guns, and his M1 from Korea.  She at least knew enough to keep the Winchester .22 that belonged to my great-grandfather in 1800's, which is still in really good shape, but supposedly my little brother is getting that.  I'd have just been happy with my 410 or my dad's old 30/30. [:(!]  I don't mind that she sold them so much as I mind she still won't admit to selling them.  She acts like I'm crazy when I bring up my dad's guns.

God Bless Texas

At least in the triple digits. And at least two dozen of those I regret ever having sold, but I was young and poor.

I have two SKSes, four 20 rounders for same, a 20 rounder fixed, a scope mount, and 500 some odd rounds for same that I would like to sell to make room in the safe, but I am still trying to talk myself into my first sale.
Please help me though this step. It's like...selling a pet...

The only gun that I have ever gotten rid of is a Ruger P94. Sold it to fund a Glock 19.

Over a hundred. I've lost count.  I like to get experience with as many different types of guns as possible, so I buy it, wring it out, then trade it in on something new unless it is so good I have to keep it.

I traded 4 that were redundancies to get 2 that would fill the gaps.

I have regretted it ever since.
I should have kept the others and bought the 2 gap fillers new.

I won't do anything like that again.
