I just read an article on this rifle in SAR. It is a modifiy mirco Galil chamber for the .30 carbine round. This was done because the Israeli police has a huge stock of .30 carbine ammo.

I don't know but the mag sort of resembles and reminds me of a .30 cal carbine mag...
