Go to DPMS:

The M-5 Bipod is a new sturdy Lightweight Aluminum Bipod that fits AR Rifles with standard Handguards or Free Float Tubes. This bipod looks like the M-60 machine gun bipod. Both legs swing or close forward towards the muzzle and the bipod swivels.

Does anyone here own one of these M-5 bipods from DPMS? How does it attach to rifle?Does it clamp onto sling swivel stud like a Harris? Do you like it?

Yeah I got one on mine...works pretty damn good. I use it when setting up in the riverbottoms for coyotes...folds forward, light and rigid. Attaches like the link above says...bottom of handguard, it's pretty sturdy.

In the past they have been made with actual M60 bipods and attached via the bayonet lug.

Many peaple that buy them use them with a heavy Brl rifle and Beta Cmag as a civie legal SAW.
