I was looking at uglygun's ARs a min ago and started wondering what clor everyones "black rifles" are.

I know that many have colored coatings and paint-jobs, others have colored furniture, some even have walnut.

Myself I have OEM Armalite green on my current rifle and did had a standard black bushy for a short while (not purple mind you).

So what do you guys have? Post some pics if you have them (mine won't be ready till around thursday of next week when my friend scanns them).

my lightweight government carbine clone has 'sage green' M4 handguards and "waffle" stock... the paint company calls it OD, but it ain't.

my Remington 700 is just got a sand-brown moly coat on the bbl and action, and flat tan on the stock.

and my Remington Seven scout has the stock painted in  the same green ans the CAR and tan.
gotta do something about the metal soon.

Which one???

Most recent project has green furniture, dark charcoal lower, and black upper.

I really don't care if the upper and lower are a color match. This ain't a fashion show.

Rest of AR's are all black. Black IS beautiful!!!

Mine is also all black.  Sometimes however it does get a few white spots on it, but that's only when I get excited!!  This can easily be wiped off!!

All of my current AR's are black with black furniture.  Has anyone else noticed that not all the "blacks" are as black as others?  I noticed DPMS has the lightest black and Colt has the darkest.

Camo parts were purchased from LooseCannon from AR15.com #1.  I'm too chicken to attempt matching the rest.

BNSFer, that is so funny, all that attention to scale and the maker of that toy gun goes and puts the handguards on sideways, LOL!

That's just too funny.

Careful!!!!

I was punching out the rear pin on a purple one before and I slipped just a little.

Purple finish scratched quick and revealed bare metal.

It was only a small scratch and it took off a good amount of purple.

Mine all look the same.  The DPMS upper matches the ASA lower.  I can't tell any difference between my Colt and Bushmaster.  I must be color blind.  I wanted some green furniture but don't remember where I saw it.  I still want to by a stainless lower from DPMS.
