I just wanna know, after Charlene Shiherlis gave Chris the stealty "NO" with her hand wave, does anyone think Chris got away with his share of the loot?

It seems that Neil McCauley might have left some money for Chris with Nate when he dropped his wounded friend there.

I guess that I wanted Chris to get away clean. Of all the bad'uns, I thought Chris deserved to succeed.

... One of the worst gun deals I ever made was selling my FN-FNC in May of 1994 for a whopping $575 to a friend at work.

Your memory is not going, the Mexican dude had an AK in the first armored car scene.  Looked like a Yugo.  He never got a chance to fire it.

He's referring to the part when Al shot Sizemore when he was holding that kid hostage.  Sizemore then took a fall face first into the water.

"Why did he fire the M3 in pump-action mode?"

Because of the way Benelli shotguns operate in semi-auto mode they are VERY hard to use with simulators or other blank firing systems.

That's why you don't see many M1 S90's either.

The POS SPAS-12 was loved by hollywood because like looked mean and it had an adjustable gas system that made it perfect for blank firing systems.

Even though everyone who knows anything will tell you a Benelli is TEN times the shotgun the Spas-12 was.

One of the Shorty M-16's just showed up for sale on one of the boards (I think Bowers) a week or so ago.  It was listed as one of the movie guns for the movie Heat.

Unfortunately, it is a Post sample.  I believe it was only $1300ish.

Yeah, Benelli salesmen and HK-philes will tell you how "superior" the Benelli is to the SPAS.

But anyone who wants to dump 9 rounds from a Benelli before the first hull hits the ground had better weigh 300 pounds because that damn gun is too light for that.

The ol' SPAS-inator on the other hand, can do it with ease, because it's a big, heavy monster that soaks up the recoil.

I won a dozen or so 10 dollar bets proving to folks that a guy my size (220) can put all 9 rounds of 9 ball 00 buck (not that girly low-brass PC shit either) into a drum from 25 yards before the first hull hit the ground.

Real world experience beats sales pitches every time. D.

The Benellis ara superior compared to the Franchi SPAS, they weigh less, are more reliable and have more accessories available. Im not that big of a fan of the Benelli Super 90 M3 since it has the operating mechanism for the pump action in it, the M1 is more to my liking since i have no need to fire less than leathal rounds that do not cycle the action.

My best splits measured with a timer between shots( on target btw) from 15-20m have been .16-.18sec with a Benelli S90 M1, and i am about 160lbs....

Better yet, was Pacino's transferable M16 from "Scarface".  LMO had it a couple years back for about $8500 IIRC.

Liked Ashley Judd in this one, although she is having to share my attention with Charlize Theron these days.

I wanted to see Kilmer get his head splattered in this movie. He killed too many good guys and deserved to go out big time.

Wes Studi had a good role but I think got shot. He is one bad dude 100% Cherokee. Although he played the evil dude in Last of the Mohicans, Magua. This guy also kicked some serious ass in Deep Rising. Played Geronimo in Geronimo the Legend. He is the baddest dude of all native American actors. No contest.

No, I'd say it has more to do with the fact that the chargees used to make the exit holes aren't as precise as what would be made by real bullets.

For the same reason they did it in T2.  It's more dramatic to see/hear it pumped, even if it is detrimental to target acquisition and return to point of aim.  But that's what happens when people learn to shoot guns from the movies.

Or it could be what Sniper posted.  I don't know enough about the gas system of the M3, but that sounds like a good idea.

I have owned both for a LONG time. I can empty my M1S90 before the first case hits the floor, no problem. And I have let the 8 year old neighbor kid shoot it, no problem.

Recoil on Benellis is s joke. Now the SPAS12 is just a frickin pice of luggage. Heavy and ungainly. Not the most balanced firearm I ever owned. I got it for the pump overide feature before I knew better.

There is one reason and ONLY one reason to own a auto/pump converter like the SPAS-12 or Benelli M3. And that is for special purpose rounds like beanbags and CS. These LE rounds lack the power to cycle a auto and that is why LE agencies buy converters.

It is NOT, I repeat NOT a fallback for if the semi auto action fails and you just pump the next round. It would be faster tactically to cycle the action by hand than convert from semi to pump on either gun. This is just something dealers tell people to sell the gun. Furthermore even the worst semi auto shotguns seldom fail.

I have since sold my Spas 12.

I used to shoot five or six rounds of trap (25 rounds each) twice a week or so with my Benelli until I got my over and under. If you can't handle the recoil of the Benelli, maybe you should look into a Daisy Red Ryder..."You'll put your eye out!" [:D]
