I bit the bullet and bought a new Swarovski rifle scope in 6-18x50mm.  Can't wait for it to get here.  How do you guys think I did?  Also does anyone have a Swarovski scope?  This is my first $1000 scope and hope it will last me a LONG time.  I can't believe I spent this much on a scope.[:D]

The one Swarovski I handled was as clear as a sunny day, mid-January in Maine.

Very impressive.

Do you think it's worth buying the ARMS mounts and rings?  Here are the bases and rings I'm looking at buying.

Badger
Arms 22
Leupold Mk4 (I can get a used set of MK4 rings and mounts for $150 maybe a little less if I try.
Leupold Standard.

The Arms setup will cost about $200 bucks.

Well, if you would put a $1,000 vase on a rickety old broken down table about to fall over, then by all means, buy the CHEAP rings and bases.

Garaddman,  like your point of view!  I bought a set of ARMS #22 from Clay on the equipment exchange board.  Now need to find the bases.  Where would you suggest I look for a 2 piece base that will work with the ARMS mount?

I'd head over to Brownells and get the scope ring alignment tools and lapping kit as well.

Be a real shame to screw up a $1000 scope.
