No NG units carry (or are authorized for that matter) AK's. It's just BS by people who know not what they say.

Only Special Forces carry AK-47s and thats for deniablility. I'll bet the woman wouldn't know the difference from an AK-47d an M-16. To her any mean looking rifle is an "AK-47 Hi-Powered Assault Rifle"

That was a classic glimpse into the mind of an anti-gunner.
They have been so sucessfully brainwashed, any rifle with a pistol grip, to them, is either an AK-47, or an UZI. This womans brainwashing was so complete, she felt at liberty to go in front of a camera, and profess to the entire viewing audiance the model of firearm being carried. UZI's and AK47's. They're all UZI's and AK47's. |

To the press a bolt action rifle is a full auto bolt action revolving sniper assault anti manhole weapon. Its easy to imagine that a Glock would be mistaken for a AK47.
