i just shot a couple of boxes of ammo through my new "surplus" m44,i had a great time.i was only shooting at about 50 yards but it hit right where i wanted it to every time.i could not bleive how well it shot.also thanks to all who replied to my post for info on the m44.

 Shhh! Damn it! [:P]You'll drive the prices up before I can get the Romanian and Hungarian M44's to go with my Polish and Russian.

My dad's kicked like a friggin MULE with the mil surplus ammo and steel buttplate, until last week, when we put the synthetic stock and a recoil pad on.

It looks SWEET. :)
