How do you adjust the gas regulator on an FAL?  The loads are some low powered loads and too little gas is getting through.

There is a knurled nut at the front of the gas tube, just behind the front sight base.  If you look closely, you'll see a port in the tube this nut is threaded on, in front of the front edge of the nut(as you lok at the rifle-front=muzzle).  Turn the nut so that it moves foreward and completely covers this port.  Now all the gas available is working on the piston.  Your nut may or may not have numbers on it, it doesn't matter because it will click when you turn it.  Fire the rifle with one round in a mag, each time it cycles and locks back, turn the nut a click, revealing more of the port in front of the nut.  When it quits locking back, turn the nut THE OTRHER WAY two clicks and leave it there.
