What's a good to very good M1 tanker version worth? Can anyone give me any insight into this version of the M1? Any comments suggestions appreciated. Feel Free to email, Thanks!!

forgot to mention, this has been rebarreled?? to 308 from 30.06. DOn;t know when or by whom.

There's no such thing as a M1 Tanker. The Army experimented with a short barrel version of the M1 Garand and it was a disaster. It wasn't produced.

I saw many "Tanker Garands" but they were all regular M1s reworked.

Actuallly, it has a much better chance of being functional as a 308, rather than a 30-06. There are all sorts of problems related to making a short M1 Garand.

Quite a bit depends on who did the conversion. If you have to have it, make sure that it comes with some sort of guarantee that it will actually work.
