antiUSSA & I will be camping southwest of St Louis next weekend, 9-28,29 & 30 near Bourbon MO
on the Meramec River.

I seem to remember a range in a state forest last time I was in the area.  Does anyone know of ranges in that area?

Also might be a good time for some AR15.com members to get together & tell lies.

Turns out to be Conservation Dept & only 4 in the state, none in the area we will be.

I am certain I was in this area 3-4 years ago & came across a public range.

Grin&Barrett just agreed to buy a LNIB SPAS-12 Shotgun from a member here, so "hopefully" we will have it here in time and can bring it along next weekend for the camping trip. [shotgun]

Arnold, MO gunclub is private.

I44 southwest of St. Louis about 15 miles.  Antire-Beumont Rd. exit (I think).  The Missouri State Conservation gunrange called Forest 44.

Nice place but conservative rules.  No rapid fire, no fullauto, no targets closer than 15 yards, no drawing from holsters.

I live north of Columbia...several ranges in this area...but sorta' a long drive from St. Louis to go shooting.  The ranges in this area don't have many rules..just good sense type.

Only a couple of hours (I have family in both cities), might be worth a day trip.
