As far as age goes, it's 20 - 25 first, then 19, then 18. There is a lot of info on the selective service web site (sorry, don't have url handy)

The last draft we had during Viet Nam it was done by lottery, drawn by birthdates. No, women do not have to register and are not eligible for the draft.

The first wave of any reinstituted draft will be to "recapture" all of the vets who got out in the 90s and are past their IRR obligations.
We will need more warm bodies, but that is a ways down the line. Think about numbers between 200-500,000. The Guard and Reserves aren't big enough for this one. |

Me I think there full of shit if they think they can just walk in there and everyone will give up like the gulf war. They don't understand what holy war is at all. They don't stop fighting until they kill everyone. |
