I say Arm the Civilians.
Re work the CMP and start selling Garands for $50.
Carbines for $25. 1911's for $15. And so on.

Start having Markmanship and Rifle Craft in the Public schools.
Bring Back the Well Regulated Militia,
It is necesary for the Security of our Free States.

Start a "Rifle in Every Home" Campain.
And Maybe an APC too.

The liberals will use the highjackings to advance their position that an armed citizenry is undesirable, which is so clearly evident in the happenings of the past few days. They will state that had the terrorists been unarmed, the crew and passengers could have surely subdued them and landed in safety. Therefore, weapons are dangerous and no one should have them. In fact, stricter gun control is necessary all the more.

Now how can you say that.

When they hold hearings on this and show the box cutters and plastic shivs that were used and then show the weapons that are confiscated every day in the nations prisons, all but the most hard core will realise that prior restraint does not work, and the ONLY response is to fight whenever and where ever they appear.

If the next terror attack happens on the ground, expect people to imediately inter bills to permit and encourage Israeli style total armament of the public.

I took mattja's post as sarcastic towards a pro-[red]RKBA! [/red] way, but it would not surprise me if some socialists do try to bring it to that point in the next couple of months (if this gets over with quickly). Myself I'll eat the monetary loss that will be incured when all my firearms become one seventh of what they are worth right now. To me that is a fair trade.

Yep that will work. Like I said, the Israeli method- Which is already covered by law in Vermont- is something we need to seriously look at. The Police and Military cant be everywhere in a nation this big- nor would we WANT them to be.

Of course the democrats will use this as a springboard towards garnering more of our freedoms. It is simply what they do. Do you actually expect them to change overnight? I say that 50 cals will be banned or made into class 3 within a year. They will come after us hard thinking that most sheeple will go along with most anything under the guise of safety.

The slope just became much steeper in my opinion but I usually see the glass half empty.
