I welled up when I saw all the congressionals singin' on the news. I don't even like politicians and I got all teary.

I have been having bursts of crying since I heard Gulinani say that the terrorists couldn't scare New Yorkers.  Then when congress sang, then later when they played God Bless the USA on the radio.  I have sadness mixed with great anger.

I will admit that I too got teary eyed when I hear the singing on the steps of the Capitol.  I know that the next time I hear the national anthem, tears will be in my eyes.

Additionally, hearing the stories of the bravery shown by the firefighters, the LEOs, and even the individuals who were literally giving the shirts off their backs to help the injured cause me to get the lump in my throat, and tears in my eyes.

It is times like this when you can see the true spirit of what it means to be an American, and even though I wish that this never had occurred, it gives me hope to see people coming together to help there fellow man in their time of need.

Many moments of tears in the last hours.. Many more to come more than likely.. Then the anger and resolve will set in.

Yes many tears have fallen from these eyes that are now focused on the resolve for justice and retribution. The rain of terror that occured yesterday SHALL NOT GO UN-ANSWERED!!

Happens to me every time!  Last Sunday at the Ravens game I was kinda glad I was sweating so much so it wasn't obvious to the guys around me. When I looked around, they were having the same "problem".

If you really want a song that will make you choke up, listen to Lee Greenwood's rendition of "Proud to be an American".  That song really hits me.

Yes, I get teary-eyed, and then 3 seconds later the rage returns.

I thought that it was just me. Every time I hear the "Star Spangled Banner", the hair on the back of my neck stands up.

Looking for that faceless coward

This morning one of the local high school bands here in the Dallas area gathered around the flagpole at their school.  Someone dialed up WBAP news radio on their cell phone and they broadcast the band playing the national anthem.  While I stood and listened in my office at work, I have to admit I did tear up.  [>Q]

I'm just dreading the next time I hear TAPS, unfortunately it will be rendered far too many times in the near future.  It always brings the tears, but now, they will definitely be flowing without shame.
