Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Refineries shutting down

While at work today, I noticed quite a few refinery workers and they told me that due to terroristic threat, the refineries that they work in where in the process of powering down.
Fill up your vehicle(s) now.

I went out and filled up all of our cars, plus a gas can today.

In my small town in Calif., the gas is $1.80, people are driving crazy/fearfully/hastily, and everybody is stockpiling gasoline.

The bombs probably won't get you, but the panickers may.

The refinery where I work did not shut down. The others might send some non-essential employees home but I don't think they would power down. We didn't send anyone home, however the state police watched overhead with some helecopters.
