http://latimes.com/news/local/la-090901beck.story For Gunman, Life Spent as Misfit Ends in Violence By KRISTINA GOEBBELS,RICHARD GOEBBELS and TERRY GOEBBELS, Times Propaganda Writers Every month or so, the women of Brooks Circle gathered for a girls' night out. Usually, there was a birthday to celebrate; sometimes not. Mainly, they met just to get out of the house and gab. Whether there was a specific reason or not, there was always plenty to talk about. This summer, on the Saturday night after Independence Day, eight or nine of the ladies of Brooks Circle met at BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse in Valencia. A couple of the women had a very specific reason for meeting. They were concerned about the odd behavior of one of their neighbors, Jim Beck. Even if Beck acted normally, which is to say, more like them, he would have been an unusual presence in the neighborhood just by the fact that he was single. Almost everybody else was married and many couples had young children. After dinner, some of the women went off to a movie; the others talked about Beck. They wondered why he was always home. He said he was a U.S. marshal, but had anyone ever seen him go to work? Had anyone seen him in a uniform? One woman mentioned what seemed his unusual interest in children. More...

The Newmans never said anything to Beck. Nor did he speak to them about the surveillance. What could he have said? That he had illegally built a small arsenal at the house? That he had been buying thousands of dollars worth of high-powered ammunition for months? That if they came for him, they better be prepared for a fight because he wasn't going anywhere?

Ever heard the propaganda ministers mention low powered ammo?

My neighbor doesn't seem to work and is always around the house. What is the FBI's number? Wait, the guy next door keeps telling me he's retired, maybe he is just impersonating a retired person. Should I call the AARP. Yeah, and what about you "Imbroglio", if that is your real name? Do I have to report you for impersonating a nerd at home all the time. Maybe the Tolkein fan club can call in the ATF for back up.

Only call if you see assault weapons leaning up against the couch he's purported to have.

Sounds like those womenz were trying to paint him as a child molester. I mean, a grown man having teddy bears and cartoons in the house must be a perv, right?
Link Posted: 9/9/2001 7:12:29 AM EDT
of course he's a child molester. He was shot and/or burned out by thee feds. That makes him a child molester by definition.

Geeze, the guy was fucked up. His mommy bought him a $400,000 house? He ripped off people he knew. He lied about who he was. The guy was as fucked up as a football bat. Did he deserve to die for that or any of the other "crimes" he committed? No. Did he kill the deputy? I can't tell you that. I wasen't there. The reporting of the LA Times (Pravda West) is typical. Did any of you read the entire article? Look at this: The Newmans later noticed that Beck was under surveillance. "The jerks parked their vans with periscopes in front of my house," Lynda Newman said. "It was so obvious they were watching him. He must have known." I can't figure why some of you geys who are defending this earth sack. If he had stolen a firearm from you, money from you, posed as a law enforecment agent to you, you would be demanding a pound of flesh and a pint of blood from this guy. Just because the Burn And Torch Flame guys tried to arrest him still dosen't make him anything other than a earth sack. Just because the Burn And Torch Flame guys pulled an ops normal arrest dosen't make him anything other than a dead earth sack. Now, if you guys really wanted to do something you would be asking for John Ashcrofts head on a platter (the same one that Janet Reno's head should have been sitting on) and for President Bush to do something about them. I have yet to read anything in the Sierra Times, WorldNet Daily, Free Republic and more webpages calling for this action. To me this was about the same reaction by the feds as was Waco and Ruby Ridge. In each of these cases had they persons involved surrendered nothing may have happened. Don't believe me? Ask Randy Weaver what he would have done if he could go back and do it again. I did. He would much rather be in jail with his wife and son alive. I for one will not make out Beck to be anything other than a moron.

Does anyone know for sure what his status as a LEO was?? I mean REALLY REALLY KNOW? Hey you LEOs out there, run his name through your data base, I wouldn't be surprised if it came back, DO NOT DETAIN. I have heard this same thing many times while listening to scanners, and this is with a long criminal profile proceeding the do not detain order. For all we know, this guy may have crossed up some fellow fed LEOs, and became a persona non grata within their ranks. ???????? Waterdog

As long as I can remember, whenever a single guy bought a home in the neighborhood, the womenz immediately felt threatened, like they're afraid hubby will start hanging out in the guy's garage drinking beer, talking about cars and young hotties. Married womenz are threatened by single guys. I wish I had a dollar for every time I've seen this phenomenon.

My experience from owning a house in a subdivision, it was the hubbies who felt threatened by the single guy who was going to get in their wives pants, sometimes with justification [:D] I actually had one guy come to my door and say as much and did not want me anywhere near his wife. I just asked him if he had looked at his wife lately and told him that HE had nothing to worry about.

hmmm.... so the women's concerns were that he was single, he had toys and children's movies in his house, he liked kids, and he kept to himself. The rest of the article brought up that he was a lier, liked to dress up and play officer, and he had guns - some stolen. I wonder how many of these women were much different when they were single. Well they may not have had a stock pile of guns. It would have been interesting to see how they would react if it had been a woman instead. [spank] nosey neighbors

So grown men that own toys makes them criminals. Well, come lock me up and confiscate my Legos! I'm going to start cleaning my guns with the garage door open.

And what would they have said if he had porno tapes and beanbag chairs instead?
