This is an interesting fact from the arrest of the Miami officers accused (5 have already plead guilty) of various crimes arising from a course of conduct involving murdering so-called BG's and using "drop guns" to cover it up. "All were members of an elite SWAT team or other specialized crime-suppression units... ." Do these units attract personnel who are more likely to "test the limits" of their authority or does the nature of the work erode respect for citizens? Or what? I don't have the expertise to answer these questions but someone who frequents this forum (an LEO perhaps) should be able to supply some insight.
