I was hesitant to post this but it hurts. This is my first experience with "gun violence". I know that my friend will become nothing more than a statistic for HCI, I feel that this forum will treat my friend as more than a excuse.

I'm probably not making any sense right now but one of my childhood buddies ended his own life. I feel like a piece of shit because I had not talked to him that often in the last few years. He was a great guy that made a bad decision, I ask my Christian brothers to pray for him as I have myself.

101-Proof,

Sorry to hear about your loss. I know how you feel. Been there before. Only difference was it was an old girlfriend of mine. She was more like my best friend than a steady.

We had stayed in touch for the first 5 years I was in the Air Force, but after that we just normally touched base evey year or so. Then in July of 92 I get a phone call in Japan from my brother.

Rocked my world! Took awhile to get over it, but I did and so will you. Hang in there and know your in my thoughts and prayers.

I know the feeling. My dad was killed in 1979 from "gun violence" and it struck again a few years ago when my mother took her life, Just hang in there. I'll say a prayer tonight.

Depression kills. It's indidious. Anyone who has depression and has ever attempted or considered suicide needs help, but the help isn't always there and it doesn't always work.

It takes something like this to remind me that The "If you love someone tell them" idea tends to get away from me every now and then. I am making the list now,its going to be a long afternoon on the phone for me!
