Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - bolt catch missing

I just built mt first Ar and I am dying to go shoot it the only problem is the bolt catch detent was missing from the parts kit. I have one coming but it will be a few days before I get it and I wanted to go shooting tomorrow. Will I hurt anything shooting my gun without it or will the bolt just not stay open after the last shot?
