Well, a paid informant [%|]... One of these PLCs was keeping an eye on one of the robots I/O racks last night at work,,, when it let me know it was armed!!!! Sneaky buggers.

Well, hard to explain, but PLC's interface with hardware and other PLC's through I/O racks. That's what they do, execute a running program through the I/O systems.
