I once made some steel targets from 1/2 inch steel pates. My only regret are that 8x57 mauser went right through the pates at 100 yards. OSA

Our gongs are 3 1/2 inches thick and have been shot with up to 50 cal and nothing has gone through yet. They do look alot like the surface of an asteroid however....Dick

I think these are rated up to .308 without getting the asteroid effect. just a lot of sparks flying!

Marc Good word. The single biggest mistake we make on these shoots is lack of decent targets. Now, I am going to suggest however that nothing larger than .22LR be used on the black furry target. [rolleyes] James PS - December works for me. I return for Thanksgiving.
