Great. Now I gotta destrip 500 conventional clips and transfer all that ammo to the new, tactical strippers. How available are these and how do they compare in price to the mountain I have in the garage?

Not true. Instead of destripping the 500 conventional ones, BUY MORE AMMO for the new ones.

I actually use some of my AR stippers for my M1 Carbine. I have been using them for a few years. I can't use them to reload the mags directly but it's I have gotten pretty good and reloading them with the mag still in the rifle and they work OK. I wouldn't count on them for a "tacticle" reload situation but then again, I really don't think I would find myself in such a situation anymore. Johnny McD
