I have a few leads on some low priced flack jackets. I am an xtra large and just finding that size was hard enough. I found British ones and US PASGT ones as well. Anybody know the differences between the two? Which one is better in terms of performance, construction, weight, etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Go with the US. I have had a lot of brits in my shop and they are usaually older and the ballistic material seems to be the same as the older US vest instead of the newer PASGT material.

I guess I got lucky with the like new one I got for $50. Here is a link to a company selling the new tactical overvests. With the trauma plates they are supposed to stop up to .308. They want $375 with plates.[url]www.tamiamiarmor.com[/url]
