I am thinking about starting three gun. I have an Ak-47 I'd like to run. IT's a romainian and shoots great. The problem is there is alomost no finish on it. What should I do to refinish it?  



P.S. Should a Run that or get an AR in a year?

There are great resources over in the AK-47 forum of the board.  There is one guy right now advertising his services for refinishing AK wood.

For something cheap and easy..... Black engine high temp paint.Works great. Degrease the rifle really good. I even put it in the oven for a short time. Got more grease out of her. Wiped her back down with Acetone and set dry. The spray painted the rifle. It turned out very good. You can also get some better Brownells Aulmina Hyde II ( spelling ) . It's pretty good also. PS. Just go have fun at the 3 gun, The rommie will be hard to compete with someone thats really good with and AR but with practice you can hold your own. Good luck, WD
