My money's on five years.

After Congress and El Presidente Jorge Boosh drop trou on the illegal deal (this will happen within the month), I give the U.S. five years before it looks and acts like Mafia-run Russia, or France (the land of the Burning Peugot).

The illegals simply don't mind their 13-year-old girls sexing up with various and sundry losers, and are thrilled to raise more welfare babies that will suck dry the Federal Teat.

Too many variables to possibly predict. An awful lot of things could happen at this point.

Not looking good and the bottom line IMO is that "Entitlements" are what have created the entire mess we are in and the addiction of Americans for handouts will perpetuate the problem and prevent a resolution.

I hope our politicians pay a heavy price for the betrayal of their nation.

I live in California and my wife was oblivious to the whole illegal alien thing until I practically grabbed her head and forced here to watch the TV today. Before she thought all this was nothing of importance. The Aztlan thing was all tin foil, and nothing to be concerned about. Finally she looks at me and says, "If they get amnesty alot of thing are going to change for the worse." I said yea, "You ever heard of Rome."

As bad as it sounds to be discussing granting amnesty to those illegals already here, that's really kids stuffed compared to the border issue. Until we make an actual serious effort to stop new entries, then it makes little difference what we do with the millions currently here. While we are locating and kicking out those people, about 10 million more will be replacing them. We must close the damn border. Then we must make an effort to locate and kick out as many of those already here as possible. We might not be able to kick them all out due to certain moral reasons (say those who have been here a number of years and have kids in school, etc). But just because we might not want to kick them all out doesn't mean we shouldn't make an effort to get rid of as many as we can. If we could just locate and send back 1 million of them, that alone will be a huge amount of weight pulled off the shoulders of our nation's healthcare system. Then, we need to prevent hoardes of new illegal immigranst from getting here.

But I'm not going to hold my breath.

We will see a "illegal alien intifada" before long only it will be a Marxist-driven and not Muslim-backed. Has "Jorge Boosh" dissolved the Border Patrol? NO!

Its not just them. I can't see how it can last with the uneducated and uncaring people that make up the bulk of the population and now, thanks to the media feel "informed". Look at the anti war movement and the polls surrounding it. They are totally dictated by the 4th branch of government...CNN.

The people are getting dumber and are being fed a steady diet of BS by the media while isolating themselves in their own little bubble of starbucks and desperate housewives. The people lack courage and the ability to take care of themselves. They depend on the .gov for their daily needs and because of that, fear the real world. They fear having to work for real and having to defend themselves or be accountable. The PC world and liability make the decisions, honor, courage, committment...they are just words that used to have meaning in our culture. Now they are advertising slogans and commercials.

America has grown fat and decadent. We are on the downward slide. The generation that fought WW2 is gone and with them, the values that kept America strong. Todays America by in large is a shell of its former self.

The question is what will happen after the fall... invasion? dictatorship? try again? who would be in charge? would the "fall" happen at once or would rights just gradually go away? Who knows.
