I want to hook my comperter up to my TV so i can play dvds, music, and downloaded movies through it. is this possible?

yes if you have a video card that has rca jacks or s-video plug.

you need to have a V card with video out.  mine runs on S video, so my tv obviously needs Svideo in.  your comp then treats the TV like another monitor, so all audio will still come from your comp unless you also have audio-out capabilities.

I'm watching TV and typing on ARFCOM...it's pretty sweet.


ETA: I am running an ATI TV Tuner card. It allows me to schedule TV shows to record, gives me a TV guide, radio...all kinds of cool stuff.
