There is no more INS, They are part of CBP or Customs & Border Protection. The agency who should be checking on illegals in the US is ICE or Immigration & Customs Enforcement. ICE is pretty much a joke and CBP is more concerned with stats, that actually keeping the illegals out of the US. In the 3 years since INS and Customs merged CPB Officers: Have recieved no training on detecting, identifying and intercepting Illegal Aliens and Smugglers Have recieved no training on detecting, identifying and intercepting WMD's Have recieved no training on detecting, identifying and intercepting Drug and drug precursers But they have recieved training in: Respecting the rights and religion of Muslems How to be courteous to the travelling public How to respect minorities. |

I believe in the long run either we'll take over Mexico and exploit its natural resources or they'll take over us by bankrupting our social services. I do not forsee a revolution in the US that will fix our present snowballing effect.  What imperial adventures did we embark on? India? Africa? Latin America? The Middle East? That was all Europe - and they are decidely non-free. In the 20th century, we have become involved in some "imperial" actions, much to our detriment. No backsies.  We fought a war and won the territory. That is different than imperialism and colonization. Also, the areas were either sparsely populated, or we wiped out the native populations. We didn't have to deal with them. The whole reason we are upset about the Mexicans coming here, is because we want mexico to stay in mexico. Conquering it would only exacerbate the problem. |
