Not really. Saw a show on this once. The SWAT team had the handgun made into a plaque. The sniper has it on his wall now.

Actually, most experts feel that it was too risky of a shot.

I'm pretty sure that was here in Columbus Ohio. I think the libtards will scream when a sniper here has to take out a bad guy. Libturds would scream excessive force....... we'll see.

Are you serious? Let's see, miss the gun, he pops off 6 shots and kills some police officers, hostages, civilians?

That was show boating - shoot the fucker in the head. (Last I checked, the Lone Ranger was the only one shooting guns out of bad guys hands. Pretty sure the boys at Quantico train for central nervous system shots.)

I dont even need to click on the link....from the desciption I already know what video is being referred to. I think it was a stupid shot...too many variables in hitting a multi-angled steel object....too much potential for richochet or fragments flying into the wrong places. If I was behind the rifle, given the same opportunity, I would have shot the guy in the wrist...same end result but a better shot choice in my opinion. I see no reason to spare the guy any pain....he chose his fate.

This happened in Columbus, Ohio. It was escalting into a suicide by cop situation. Negotiations had turned fruitless. They had nothing to lose. The shot was close range and straight on. An easy shot for the sniper. It was a good call and it worked.

It was in NW Kolumbus, at Snouffer Rd and Bent Tree Blvd in the early 90's.
