CRKT M14-14M tanto combo edge.

I'm thinking of replacing it with the same type, but with a straight-edge only.

It is spring-assisted in any way or is it all in the hand? My 1550 was spring-assisted and I fell in love with it. My 2415T requires a flick of the thumb to get it open, but it's fast.

It's not a spring-assist. It does have a flipper (also acts as a blade guard) that you can flick with your index finger, which will open it most of the way. Couple that movement with a slight flick of the wrist and it opens really fast.

heres some of my knives, lol. I got carried away and got em all together. Some are great, some are poor but they each serve a function and fit the specific occasions. The Emerson sees most of the carry time.

Not a bad little knife for the $$.  Been in constant use for 3.5 years, and hasn't failed me yet.  Going to replace it soon though cause folder mechanism is egging out.  Any recommendations for a replacement?

I carry the same exact knife minus the grouse on the blade.

I've lost several good knifes, as I'm up and down & all over the place every day. I was tired of spending good money on a knife that is mostly used to cut tape & open boxes & shipping packs.

I picked on of these at the local funshow for $4, used it, and it does everything I need it to do......
And if I loose it....well It's only $4!!!

When I was last at the funshow...I picked up 4 of them....at $3 each...Figured for $12 I've used the first one for about 2 years now....It's MORE than paid for itself.

I remove the clip & thumb stud...Clean up any bad edges on anything and lube it all well. After it's "Broke in" it's a quick wrist flick to open one handed...Cut..and a quick close & back in my pocket before most guys have their's off their pocket clip.

It's also small enough to keep the "Sheep" from getting to frightened.

I have only had this knife for a little over a month and I absolutely love it. I do not know how I ever carried a cheap knife for all of those years.

or a CRKT spear point Sampson's K.I.S.S. when the Benchy's too bulky. (Not for any serious cutting jobs due to it's frame-lock design and chisel ground edge, but I'll be damned if I ever notice I'm carrying it)

Good question.  At the office (while dressed decent) I usually carry the Spyderco Meerkat and sometimes the Buck/Strider 889 SBMF.  Out of the office I carry mostly whats in the pic: Strider SLCC and HAK Strider.  Both faster than any auto.

Just to the right of your billfold...the little knife that has a rounded rectangular grip with paracord wrapped on it.  I've seen that before...but I don't know who makes it.  What is it?
