About 20 questions, bottom line --->  they basically wanted to know how long I expected the gov't to come to my rescue after the next disaster.

24Hrs, 48Hrs, etc.

I told them we have intelligence and stuff - we'll be the last in line and won't be complaining.

How prepared are we?, how many days worth of food, water, drugs, etc.  Do we have a generator?

Type of house, how many occupants, aged folks, disaster plan, how much ice do we have on hand during a storm...

What's our income, blah, blah, blah...

I told them the Insurance companies cause the real disasters, as the storm only lasts a few hours.

Actually this could be an interesting survey.

I would like to see the results.

Also wanted to know where we get our info - TV, Radio....

How much gas we keep in our vehicle as storm approaches?

How much gas do we keep on hand for our generator?

Did we evac the last storm?

Do we know the diff between a watch and a warning...?

What did we do when Katrina/Wilma/etc went by?

Didn't ask about firearms - and I didn't volunteer that info.

guns: check
canned food: check
stuff to burn: check
beer: check

i can hold out as long as needed.  i don't need the gov't to hold my hand after a disaster.  hurricanes should be a good source for natural selection.  in NOLA it was good.  it killed off a bunch of people too stupid to evacuate a major flooding event and instead choose to stay in a home BELOW SEA LEVEL.

Yes, they asked about canned foods too - how many days worth of everything.

Flashlights, batteries, gallons of water per person...

I'll keep adding as I remember.

How much, if any damage from the last storm?

Where did we get our info before, during, and after?

Are our insurance records in a safe place?

I would agree, but they could have done a better job if they were actually bad guys...

They could have asked about what do we do with valuables, insurance values, firearms, but the questions were pretty lame and they stayed away from much that could have been divulged.

I think my pin number was about the most secret thing they asked.

Many foil hatters consider them to be the JBTs of JBTs Well in the 90's they did anyway.

It came up on caller ID as KERR AND DOWNS - the market reseach firm that FEMA is paying for the info.  A very nice young lady asked me the questions, but first was nice about saying we're doing a survey for FEMA, and we would like your input if it is okay with you -and if now is a bad time we'll call back later.

If I wake up in the AM, and my generator, flashlights, batteries, gasoline and ice are missing - I'll need one of those tin foil hats...

My race - White - Hispanic? - No just white...

Household income - 15K, 30K, 50K, 80K+, surprised they didn;t go higher.

I should have told them I voted for Bush, just in case I actually need disaster assistance someday.

I think based on my answers they know I voted that way anyway and I'll likely get a chopper full of munchies landing in the yard as soon as the storm clears.

I wouldn't have answered any of their questions or said I was totally unprepared.

I guess my tin foil hat is on too tight.

Interesting that they are asking you what the expectation is...

Here in New Zealand they set the expectation...
Have three days of food...
