What was the aveverage cost, best deal, rip-off price you were paying for ammo 2-3-5 years ago compaired to todays prices?

Especially the bargain buys for 500/1000 rounds of 5.56 (XM193, Q3131(a), SA Battle packs, etc), 7.62x39, .308.

I'll be damned if I can remember what I was paying back then (one sure sign of getting older).

IIRC around a year ago it was $189 shipped for XM193
