1.8 GHz Athlon XP
512 MB of RAM
40 GB HDD
250 GB HDD
Windows XP Home
Ubuntu Linux (Linux gets the big hard drive)
GeForce 6200, 256 MB

And yes, you need an upgrade. I'm going to upgrade my computer's CPU/Mobo very soon, and probably the RAM soon after. You sir could use more RAM. 256 megs? I have that much just on my videocard.

All the overclocking and unlocking took it from an OK machine to an absolute screamer.
I put some time into figure out the best parts for the $$$.

I built this machine over 5 months ago for around $800-$900 you will not find a better machine for the $$$ and that was 5 months ago, even now it would still be hard to beat but is possbile.

Like anything with me its the performance vs. the $$$ that counts.

Can you say BF2 1280x1024 full options 4xAA 16xAF 40-80fps

Runs like a striped ape.

Just upped the video card to the GS and Doom 3 on ultra quality no prob.

Not bad for only putting $600 in it so far, including the 19" lcd, and the original video card (Geforce 6600)

I built this machine in 2002 specifically to upgrade my old P3-500.

I had bought a Sony Mini-DV cam corder, and needed something capable of
rendering video and burning to DVDs.

What I learned was, as soon as you upgrade the motherboard, you need new RAM.
Then a new power supply, then a freak'in new video card because the old one isn't
compatable. By the time I was finished, I still had the old case and fans.

3.2 GHz Athelon

1 GB RAM

dual 160 GB hard drives.

Firewire & USB 2.0

Sony 8x DVD burner

4 years old, and it is still as good as many computers sold at Best Buy.

Video that took hours to render on the 500 MHz PIII
takes minutes on this machine.
