I find it amazing the number of the people on this site that will post comments complaining about Congress "why can't they just do this", "why don't they just pass a simple bill and restore some right" or they complain about the NRA "the NRA isn't doing anyting" or "the NRA is selling us down the river" yet when the text of a simple is bill is posted most the people on this site just look at it with this expression
and want the "cliff notes" version and can't figure out if it's a good thing or bad thing. Come on people, you have to educate yourself on the political process and how it works so you can think for yourself and understand what is really going on. If you can't even read a simple bill, which this on is, how are you going to understand the rest of the process the committees the bill goes through, how amendments get added to it, what amendments may do to a bill, the differences between the House and Senate bills, the conference committees, the strategies that leaders might use to trick various people into either voting for or against something. All this goes into play and is factored in to everything Congress does and everything the NRA does. So take some time to learn how things work and you can start by learning how bills are written.
