My buddy is looking for a gun to put on his 4-wheeler. He sais it was a .22, 4-10 over and under type. He said it has a folding stock and it breaks down and the barrels fis inside the stock. I have never seen on that breaks down into a bag. ANy ideas on the make/model?

There's the AR-7 which is a .22 rimfire semi-auto that fits in its own stock, but I was not aware of a combo gun by anyone that does the same thing.

Springfield M6.

They don't make it anymore.

Well as far as 22 over a 410 I'd say M-6. However,if it breaks down and fits in the stock, then it is an AR-7 however this rifle is .22 only and is semi-automatic. Both nice little guns. I should have bought an M-6 when I had the chance.

Isn't an M6 like $3000?

Not exactly a truck gun sort of thing.

EDIT:  AND aren't M6s NFA items?  <16'' barrel

Options:
Rossi Matched pair in 22/410
Feather industries breakdown in 22lr or 9mm
AR7 made by Henry. Started as Armilite(have one), then charter arms and now Henry is making them.
Marlin papoose in 22lr
10/22 with packer stock and light weight barrel
H&R single shot in (insert cal) Then have extra barrel made

Or just pack a good pistol.

No, at least not the recent production ones (which were made in Czech Republic).  I bought one in 1997 for $195 new.  It was a the most atrocious, useless, difficult to operated POS I have ever owned.  No wonder SA stopped selling them.  Sold it and bought a Mariin Papoose.
