They're cool.....
Link Posted: 3/27/2006 7:56:57 AM EDT
They're marginally better than Nickleback.
Link Posted: 3/27/2006 7:57:12 AM EDT
I don't have any of their music, but I do like them. Their style is somewhat similar to the stuff Faith No More was doing in 1989.
Link Posted: 3/27/2006 7:57:54 AM EDT
I like them.

it's a bunch of pornographic musicianship...but I like it from time to time, I even have the CD "Reanimation."
Link Posted: 3/27/2006 8:02:49 AM EDT

it's pornographic

you say that like its a bad thing!!
Link Posted: 3/27/2006 8:02:53 AM EDT
I like em. That said, they are one of the few contemporary bands that I like.
Link Posted: 3/27/2006 8:03:06 AM EDT
Meh

I also said I own some of their stuff
Link Posted: 3/27/2006 8:12:24 AM EDT
Their first album was great. After that......
Link Posted: 3/27/2006 8:12:56 AM EDT
i used to like them until they became the national poser anthem.
Link Posted: 3/27/2006 8:13:22 AM EDT
I liked them at first, but then decided their songs all sound really whiny.
Link Posted: 3/27/2006 8:14:49 AM EDT
Any band that uses a DJ and songs don't sound the same from track to track is OK with me.

I like them.

Nickleback sucks dead rockey mountain oysters..Unless you are a chick, then I guess it would be OK to like them.

Link Posted: 3/27/2006 8:16:08 AM EDT
Nickleback are some of the worst turd merchants to ever hit the airwaves....
Link Posted: 3/27/2006 8:16:41 AM EDT
Too much teenage angst leftovers for me.
Link Posted: 3/27/2006 8:19:49 AM EDT
I met the band once. They seemed like pretty down to earth guys who cared about their music. They weren't stuck up nor whiny. I talked one of the lead singers for about 15 min, real nice guy that could admit he had problems like everyone else, but at the same time, other peoples problems were as important as his.

+1 for 'Meh.'

So-So
Link Posted: 3/27/2006 8:23:06 AM EDT
Not my cup o' tea.
Link Posted: 3/27/2006 8:23:57 AM EDT
I love them.

Needs a poll

Gee, that's sort of the same as asking if I'd rather have a bleach enema or a tabasco enema. Having said that, I think I have to give the edge to Nickelback. It's really a non-issue for me, however.

Why no hate em choice on the poll??
Link Posted: 3/27/2006 10:39:31 AM EDT
I would have voted, but there's no choice for "Eats a bag of smelly cocks".

Linkin Park aren't qualified to wipe Mike Patton's ass

I take it record sales isn't a qualifier? I haven't followed them in awhile, but isn't Mike Patton now working nights at KFC?
Link Posted: 3/27/2006 12:44:12 PM EDT
Catchy but can't stand them really. Whingy sad-boy "metal". There's an mp3 somewhere with two of their songs mixed together, one in the left channel, one in the right, same progression, chorus, scale, formula, etc. kind of sad. And the dj. lol. I'm all for seeing turntablism attempted within metal/rock, but it doesn't work at all in linkin park. "wicky wicky" scratches don't cut it for me. Just a marketing gimick imo. Speaking of marketing gimmick, I think they were founded/put together by the same guy that put the New Kids on the Block and those other boy bands together. I'd still rather listen to them than any of that emo/screamo shit floating about, waiting to get flushed.

I went to there concert a couple of years ago. It was one of the best concerts I've ever been too. Linkin Park is one of my favorite bands.

A recording of Mike Patton taking a shit would display more musical ability than a Linkin Park album.
Link Posted: 3/27/2006 6:06:51 PM EDT
I like them.

Nickleback sucks donkey balls.
Link Posted: 3/27/2006 6:09:32 PM EDT
Angry Boy Band.

In the end it dosen't really matter, cus there "band" is teh sux.

Where's the "Stinkin' Fart Sucks" option?
Link Posted: 3/27/2006 6:37:29 PM EDT
If you've heard one of their songs, youve heard them all, they all sound the same to me.
Link Posted: 3/27/2006 7:01:08 PM EDT
Flawed poll. No "They Suck." They are a band that was put together by the record company and the company dumped alot of money to promote them. Metal boyband.
Link Posted: 3/27/2006 7:05:53 PM EDT
Their stuff with Jay-Z is a great
Link Posted: 3/27/2006 7:16:50 PM EDT
ya i really like them.
Link Posted: 3/27/2006 7:21:30 PM EDT
there beats are very original and the jayz mix was off the chain yo
Link Posted: 3/27/2006 7:23:24 PM EDT
They rate below the worst "american idol" reject. Total crap.
Link Posted: 3/27/2006 7:46:36 PM EDT
[Last Edit: 3/27/2006 7:47:41 PM EDT by soccermike7]
i love their music, but i'm not a big fan of the jay-z album, and i hate even more that they havent come out with any new music since their debut over 4 years ago. remixes dont count, i've been thorougly disappointed in them.

their sound was awesome.

FNM broke up in '98 and actually he works at Pep Boys. If you guess the correct answer to "What is it?" you get a free oil change.

Link Posted: 3/27/2006 8:53:37 PM EDT
Mike Patton has been in sevaral bands since Faith No More broke up. Mr. Bungle, Fantomas, Lovage, and Tomahawk. He has more money than he could probably ever spend.

Actually, that's Nickleback you're thinking of with the left and right channel mix:

Can't stand their music anymore. I was into the whole pseudo-metal hormonal angst thing for about 4 months, then I got into the harder, and eventually, the more avante-garde stuff. Now my playlist shuffles between Miles Davis, Medieval folk, art-rock, classical, and even blues, bluegrass and folk. My sister's now getting into the harder scream-as-loud-as-you-can music which, save for a few decent melodies between the screams, have lyrics not much more substantive than LP.

Of course, everything's a matter of opinion, I just don't care for 'em.
