As a former LEO when I carry I tend to want to carry a back up. A baby browning is my fav. or a high standard .22 derringer. They give me many options as to hide locations.
What say you?

When on duty I carried a S&W 3913 in an ankle rig and a NAA .22 in my vest.

AR or shotty behind the seat of the truck.

Kinda depends on what you can use to conceal said gun.  I'd opt for a small 9mm or .380 in a pocket rig.

I've carried a S&W titanium .38 on my ankle since they came out.  Wouldn't work without it.

Complimented my Glock 19 with NAA .380 for two years but eventually sold the
piece because I hated the trigger pull. For me it was 100% last resort gun, because
I couldn't hit shit past about 5yds accurately.  Will be purchasing a Rohrbaugh
arms R-9 after nexts years tax return comes back.

Carried a Walther PPK/S in a Galco Ankle Glove for  or 8 years.  Always shot better with my PPK during quals than I did my duty weapon.

Primary weapon is a GLOCK 19. For backup, I carry a Kahr PM9, Kel-Tec P-32, or both. I use pocket holsters and ankle holsters for the back ups.

Is that legal in VA?

I thought we could have a loaded concealed handgun if we have a concealed handgun permit, or if no permit, a loaded handgun in plain sight.  But a rifle or shotgun loaded is a no no?

I very much hope I am wrong.  I would love to keep my Uzi in my truck.

CCW not LEO here. I don't carry a backup pistol. I carry a knife in addition to my P7.

My backup is a .380, NAA Guardian. I carry it in an off side rear pocket holster and it works great for me.
