Hutchison Whampoa Ltd. is owned by the Chinese army. Sometimes I really wonder if this country has gone completely crazy. WTF

Quoted:
The administration acknowledges the no-bid contract with Hutchison Whampoa Ltd. represents the first time a foreign company will be involved in running a sophisticated U.S. radiation detector at an overseas port without American customs agents present.
...
The administration is negotiating a second no-bid contract for a Philippine company to install radiation detectors in its home country, according to documents obtained by The Associated Press. At dozens of other overseas ports, foreign governments are primarily responsible for scanning cargo.

What the hell!  He's not even trying to have US companies do the work.  He's just giving the contracts away to foreign countries.   I really want to see how the Bush kool aid drinkers try to spin this one.

Will the Chinese still need to scan for their own nukes, or will they already know that they've sent them and not have to scan for them when they come through the port? What a conundrum.....
