Here's the latest development in Denmark.

Remember that all the brouhaha about the "offensive" cartoons a while ago was essentially engineered by a group of Danish muslim religious leaders (imams), who went around the middle east, showing much more offensive faked cartoons and claiming stuff like that was published in Danish newspapers all the time, and generally lying to the world about how mean Denmark is to the muslim immigrants (who are in reality given everything they could ever want, in the wonderful social welfare paradise that Denmark is).

However, it is very important to remember that these imams do NOT represent all muslims in Denmark, and of the roughly 200,000 muslims, they may only have strong support from about 10% of those.  In fact, one of the loudest critics of these muslim imams and their attempts to generate hatred for Denmark, and undermine freedom of expression, is a muslim member of parliament, called Naser Khader.  He has been very outspoken on the cartoon issue, saying the the suggestion that Denmark had anything to apologize for was "ridiculous" and compared the attacks on Denmark to people blaming a rape victim for having been raped because she wore a short skirt.

Of course he has received many death threats from extremist muslims, and is under close protection by the police intelligence unit (which are very hardcore).  But he is widely respected in Denmark as a reasonable and honorable politician (if such a thing is even possible ), and a lot of regular Danes really like him.

The LATEST development is a French documentary, where a journalist managed to anonymously get to know some of these imams while they were visiting, and secretly taped (hidden cameras) conversations with them.  The journalist, Mohamed Sifaoui, said that he was just observing them (during a car ride) and did not ask questions or participate in the discussion.

Here is one excerpt from one of the conversations between two danish imams (Ahmed Akkari and Raed Hlayhel), where they are discussing the possibility that Naser Khader might become minister of integration (the Danish government agency that oversees the integration of immigrants into Danish society).  These are two very close associates of the one of the leading imams in Denmark, Abu Laban - who was traveling with these two, but riding in another car.

Akkari: If Naser Khader one day becomes Minister of Integration, maybe we should send a couple of guys over and blow him and the ministry up.

Holy fucking crap!!    I am so furious at these kinds of assholes, it's impossible to put into words.  I SO hope that the legal system and the police intelligence service crawl so far up his ass that they can look out his nostrils.

Hopefully, he'll be charged with a crime.  But since these assholes are Danish citizens, it's not clear that they can be expelled back to the shitholes they came from.

Naser Khader is apparently considering leaving politics after this latest threat.  Nice.

Right - but it ALSO illustrates that there IS a struggle within Islam, and that there isn't a monolithic "plan"

After all, Naser Khader is a muslim, and so is the french journalist who exposed these assholes.

Unfortunately, it seems that the extremists in Islam are VERY willing to use force and intimidation against moderates, and I think so much of future developments depend on what the "silent majority" of muslims will chose to do.  Will they stand up an reject extremist, or will they tacitly accept it by saying nothing.

I hate to be a contrarian but Islam IS a "plan". But thanks to "ex-Muslims" like Hirsi Ali, and that Psyciatrist from Ca. they can expose the soft underbelly of secrecy. Most Muslims would consider this Politician to be an "apostate" worthy of death and not a "real Muslim" anyway. As to citizenship, well unless it goes against the constitution of the Netherlan opppps i mean den Danske, They should just make a law allowing A. the striping of citizenship for "treasonous" or "subversive"  activity. B. Disallowing dual-citizenship from "countries of concern" C. passing laws that make "sharia adherents" near impossable to practice it, and stiff penalties for breakers of that law.
Belive me, if they can make the Nederlanders attack houses of worship (not done since Martin Luthers time) they got serious problems up ahead, The resistance in Europe is stiffening and most "center-right" parties are gaining in Parliaments. Of course "center-right" in Europa means they are Socialists who want to restrict immigration from "dangerous" countries. I do belive there is a ray of hope for europe yet, except maybe France and England.

Wow. I can't believe a respected Imam would say such a violent thing. After all, we all know that Islam condemns violence.

Seriously, I hope that Khader sticks to his guns and continues to represent the muslims who aren't interested in wiping out America and Israel. (I know they are out there, but they need to speak up)

Unfortunately, I don't believe there is a way to strip citizenship from a Dane based on subversive or treasonous acts, more's the pity.     However, there are laws against "acts harmful to the country" that some politicians have demanded be applied to the imams that caused all the cartoon debacle in the first place.

On the other points, luckily (although to my great personal sorrow for CMP purchases ) Denmark does not allow dual citizenship AT ALL, and Danish law already makes any kind of attempts to impose "sharia"-type laws or restrictions on people/women pretty much impossible, because there are so many protections of individual rights written into Danish law.  Don't know how strict the penalties are, though.  Denmark is not that tough on crime (which of course is a separate problem, dealing with the huge amount of violent crime by immigrant youths in Denmark - but that's for another rant )

Combiend with the super-strict immigration laws, I hope things are moving in the right direction in Denmark.

The two GOOD THINGS - beside all the incredulous fury - about all this kind of development is:
1. It really has made regular Danes much more aware of the traitorous bastards who are living among us, but want to undermine the entire country.
2. It is putting much more pressure on the silent muslims to "pick a side" and stand up to be counted.

Interesting analogy. I wonder if he knows that women making rape accusations in some muslim countries are not uncommonly sentenced to death for fornication.

Probably - I remember reading a speech of his where he responded to the "offense" taken by Saudis towards the Danish cartoons, by listing many the things about Saudi Arabia that offended him - including their treatment of women.
