If by " Routed " he means that our troops are in control of that nation and that we took the place with fewer casualties than on most single weeks than in any other war in history where an entire nation state was invaded and conquered well then, I guess he's right.

You mean, the fact that 3/4 of Iraq is in control of the elected Iraqi government and its police and military, and 2/3rds of Baghdad is under control of the elected Iraqi government and its police and military isn't "proof" that the US military has been routed?
Or....it could be that the remaining Baathists and Al Queda forces are getting their butts kicked, and things are stabilizing enough to turn over the elected Iraqi government.... Nah.... |
