According to a post on his forum;

There is some "technical" problems with my account. I hope to have them worked out soonest.

I'll have to head over to his forum later and see what's what.

...

Had a small problem with my last order but it all worked out fine in the end. I hope it's no problem of his and just a minor boo boo.

ETA: Grant is still in business and a great vendor to order from. He told me he had been busy lately and had not updated his sight recently, so if you're looking for something email him or call him.

I would also like some infor on this.   I've always gotten great service from him.   He is one of the few dealers that I have used more than just a couple of times.

What's the story?

I just did a search...

I noted that the last post in most of Grant's threads was the same person... wonder if that had anything to do with it.

Interesting.  Good catch.  Same guy, most always asking if somthing is in stock.

Since he was a dealer he did not have to conform to the 72 hour bump rule.  I wonder what the deal is.

Read the link I posted and that will give you some insight. He's been gone now for ~2 weeks.

There is more to it than just the one thread. There is history there.

It is also my understanding that Grant holds no ill will towards MSP.

ETA: Grant has been tight lipped about this whole episode on his site. He also has not said anything negative about this site or staff, just to be clear.

FWIW, I phoned Grant some time back (over that thread) and we came to an agreement to agree to disagree but be civil on the forum. We each stated to the other that there were no hard feelings. It was a good conversation and neither of us has anything against the other. We talked ARs for a while...

We just did dinner and a movie on Friday night and he didn't say a thing about it to me.

There are some good things in store for you guy's who need gear though.

Grant is a stand up guy.

He is and was suprised by the loss of this  dealer, im afraid this may be a trend of dealers dropping or not re-upping there membership. i was told by one dealer on here that the site has doubled the price with in a year for the membership, (not sure if this is correct or not, maybe a site admin will correct me if im right or wrong)  if so that is really too bad, i know it takes alot of money to run this but i know the site has to be doing very well with all the paying members from the liitle guy to the dealers.................its a shame to see them leave.

Grant is the man!

He sold me my Aimpoint, Larue mount and a CMT upper. Both deals were flawless.

Yeah I spent a little money with him but he has busted knowledge on me worth so much more than I spent with him about all things AR.

I'll continue to do business with him as I think anyone will that has done so in the past.

I'm a newb (as far as this site is concerned) but I'm trying to keep track of a few things to decide on membership status at a site that I get a boatload of enjoyment out of.

1. Tweeks in the iron door hotel
2. Grants been banished to whore island
3.TheRedHorseman is MIA for being himself
4. Napolean Tanerite has done and knows everything about everything in the whole wide world

Hmmm...

Sad.

I'll leave it at that, and keep Grant on my list of good guys to buy from.

Oh my... how will AR15.com ever survive without Grant around?!?!?!

Oh wait, I know... Mark LaRue will just have to start paying to have his own forum in the Industry section!

Flame away folks, cause not everybody here worshipped at Grant's feet, and some of us grew to view him as a troll in dealers clothing.

I NEVER meant I wouldn't deal with him again, quite the contrary.

I simply meant sorry to see him leave the site.

He happily answered many stupid newb questions from me, and his Wife Roxanne was very pleasant on the phone too.

I'll have no problems doing business with Grant whether he is a member of this site or not. Good service is good service.

Yep.

I mean,  he's been pleasant to deal with and he has given me great service and good products fora great price, and both he and his wife have been pleasant to talk to, and deal with,  in an industry that for whatever reason has an inordinately high number of rude, self-important, flaming asshat dickheads who act like they are doing YOU a favor by allowing you to spend money at their site.

Yep, What a bastard.

Again, I'm not at all surprised he's no longer "Officially sanctioned" on ARFCOM.

Not one damn bit surprised....Refuse to elaborate any further.

+1

Grant has helped me out with several of my AR noob questions and was always patient with my questions about the products that he carries.  I'm sad to see him gone.

The jist of the matter, as I see it is this:

Grant pwned someone, and that didn't sit well somehow, but that's just an educated guess.  The person who got pwned, you know who you are, and may your childishnes follow you to your grave.  That's all I have to say about this.

I find it highly amusing that a grown man would use juvenile Internet slang like "pwned" to chide another for their "childishnes."

Just an observation...
