I seem to remember sitting a foxhole in the Kahuku's when we got hit by a torrent of rain like that, that was a MAJOR suck!!!!   Every uniform I had was just caked with farking orange mud.

Did I hear right on the radio today that some parts of HI have had several feet of rain in the past few days?

Trying to remember the weather forcast I heard each day, something like:

High of 76, partly sunny with Malka (sp?) showers this afternoon.

I swear it was the same everyday, with the exception of hurricane Iwa.

I just got back from Kauia yesterday. The amount of rain there is incredible, a resivior broke and 2 houses were washed away along with the only road to the airport.  3 dead and 4 missing

Nice and warm in freefall too although the mini cold front that just went through put a bite in the air.
