Shit, last week we had tornadoes & now this?

URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LINCOLN IL
332 PM CST SUN MAR 19 2006

...LATE SEASON SNOWSTORM TAKING AIM AT CENTRAL ILLINOIS...

.A STRONG STORM SYSTEM NOW LOCATED OVER THE SOUTHERN ROCKIES WILL
MOVE NORTHEAST INTO THE PLAINS TONIGHT AND MONDAY...AND WILL BEGIN
TO AFFECT THE MIDWEST MONDAY AFTERNOON. INITIAL LIGHT RAIN OR
SLEET MONDAY AFTERNOON WILL QUICKLY CHANGE TO SNOW AND BECOME
HEAVY AT TIMES MONDAY NIGHT AND TUESDAY MORNING. EARLY INDICATIONS
SUGGEST THAT A BAND OF SNOW IN EXCESS OF 6 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE
IN THE WATCH AREA...ESPECIALLY ALONG THE INTERSTATE 72 CORRIDOR.
IN ADDITION TO THE HEAVY SNOW...NORTHEAST WINDS FROM 15 TO 25 MPH
WITH GUSTS ABOVE 30 MPH WILL PRODUCE CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND
DRIFTING SNOW. TRAVEL MAY BECOME QUITE DIFFICULT LATE MONDAY NIGHT
AND TUESDAY MORNING.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LINCOLN HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM
WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY EVENING THROUGH TUESDAY
MORNING.

EXPECT LIGHT RAIN...POSSIBLY MIXED WITH LIGHT SLEET TO BEGIN
MONDAY AFTERNOON OR EARLY EVENING. THE PRECIPITATION WILL CHANGE
TO ALL SNOW MONDAY EVENING AND ACCUMULATE FROM 5 TO 7 INCHES BY
TUESDAY MORNING. THE SNOW IS EXPECTED TO TAPER OFF TUESDAY
AFTERNOON. STRONG WINDS WILL CAUSE CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND
DRIFTING SNOW MONDAY NIGHT AND TUESDAY MORNING...MAKING TRAVEL
HAZARDOUS.

A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT
SNOW...SLEET...OR ICE ACCUMULATIONS THAT MAY IMPACT TRAVEL.

If I could go back in time and choose another profession it would be a weatherguesser. It is the only profession I know of where you can be wrong 90% of the time and still get paid / keep your job.

The weatherguessers were calling for 4-6" here last friday and it did not snow at ALL!!!!!!

We had 12" of wet, heavy snow last April 23.

Around here, anything can happen, weather-wise.
