It's funny, some people just don't realize that there was color in the world before the invention of color film.

My Grandfather served in the US Army Air Corps 8th Air Force and later the US Air Force. It is very strange indeed to see so many color photos. I always think of WWII as an event of the distant past, but these pictures make is seem much more modern.

Years of artillery fire over static lines will do that. Ever seen any of the pics from WWI showing no mans land where it literally looks like a moonscape?
