I thought they were supposed to be some kind of "Special Edition" guns.

The local PX has them .40 Compact and a fullsize .45 for $609 each. The normal USPs are $750-$850.

HK ran "special editions" of their guns. different guns were available in different colors; grey, OD, and kahki. only certain models were available in certain colors though, it wasn't an across-the-board option.

i'm not a big fan of the grey ones.

HK was not selling enough units in that fugly colour so, they need to move 'em.

Neither am I. The frames are more of a baby blue shade than grey. It's too bad. If they had been any other color I'd have bought them both.
